BEST MAID AGENCY IN SINGAPORE
In accordance with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations, employers in Singapore are obligated to remit a monthly levy for each employed foreign domestic worker (FDW). The levy is set at $300.00 per month or $10 per day for the duration of the work permit’s validity.
However, for Singaporean employers with young children below 12 years or elderly individuals above 65 years residing in the same household, a concessionary rate of SGD 60.00 per month is applicable.
Levy collection is administered by the CPF Board on behalf of MOM. For first-time FDWs, the levy commences on the fourth day post-arrival, excluding the arrival day. Subsequent FDWs initiate the levy on the day following their arrival. Payments should be facilitated through GIRO, with the maintenance of a valid GIRO account being crucial to prevent the cancellation of the FDW’s Work Permit.
Employers are granted a grace period of up to 14 days to settle the levy payment, due by the 14th of the subsequent month. The actual levy deduction via GIRO is executed three days later, typically on the 17th of the following month. In cases where the 17th falls on a non-working day, the deduction is executed on the next working day. Adhering to levy payment obligations is imperative for ensuring the seamless employment of your FDW and compliance with MOM’s regulatory requirements.
